| Breaking News | | Monday, May 26th, 2008: Javier Selected Top Player
This week's EL Player of the Week is Gilberto Javier of the Binghamton Mets.
He ambushed EL pitching for 12 hits in 27 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBIs, while hitting .444 and scoring 5 runs.
Thus far this year Javier has hit .264 with 4 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
 | Thursday, September 6th, 2007: Mets Reliever Wins 2007 Outstanding Pitcher Award
Vinny Edwards has done something few relievers ever do -- win the EL Outstanding Pitcher Award. Today the Binghamton reliever got the news on the heels of his spectacular 2007 season.
He tossed 160 innings as he put up a 16-2 record and no saves. Edwards also compiled a 2.48 ERA and collected 131 strikeouts as he held opponents to a .240 batting average.

| Friday, August 24th, 2007: Binghamton Wins 2007 Round 2!
The 2007 Round 2 is history and Eastern League has added another champion to its record book.
Binghamton prevailed over Altoona today with a 3-2 victory at Concordes Ballpark. It was the Mets 3rd time claiming the title.
They compiled a 81-39 regular season record and finished in the first spot in the EL North Division pennant chase.
