| Breaking News |  | Thursday, May 14th, 2009: Ellsbu Belts 5 Hits It was magical day at the plate for the Tigers Jeff Ellsbu. The 22-year-old third baseman helped lift Lakeland to a 24-4 win over the Vero Beach Dodgers today at Roughriders Ballpark. Ellsbu smacked 5 hits in 6 at-bats to spark his club to victory.
J. Ellsbu doubled in the 1st, singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
In 2009 Ellsbu is batting .300 with 51 hits, 2 home runs, 10 RBIs, 12 walks, .350 OBP and has scored 33 runs.
