All week Vicente Navarro of the Midland Angels shocked opponents with an electrifying performance to capture the EL Player of the Week honors.
The talented left fielder sparked his team by hitting .419 with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 6 runs scored.
To date, Navarro has collected 72 hits for a .267 average. He has posted 8 home runs, scored 43 runs and driven in 27 runs. |  | Wednesday, June 11th, 2008: Suzuki Bangs Out 5 Base Hits "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what New Britain shortstop Yoshiaga Suzuki said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the Portland Sea Dogs at Ballpark of Algoma. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."
The Rock Cats had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 12-5.
Y. Suzuki singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

"I've been good sometimes and bad sometimes," he said. This time he looked good and made the New Haven Ravens look bad, blanking them by the score of 4-0.
Mendoza tossed a 2-hit shutout against them, totaling 9 strikeouts and giving up 3 walks.
